Солнцеворот


Картина «Солнцеворот» является одной из работ в Солнечной серии, и в ней я пытаюсь передать свое отношение к цикличности нашего существования. Смена времен года, дня и ночи, вращение земли вокруг солнца, солнца внутри галактики, галактики внутри вселенной. Вращение является естественным состоянием нашего мироздания. Конкретно в этой работе я пытался передать движение солнечного ветра, который, исходя от нашей звезды, закручивается спиралью, следуя притяжению масс.

Несмотря на кажущуюся простоту, картина обладает еще рядом скрытых смыслов. Использование красной бумаги и золотых узоров - не только дань традиционным солнечным символам, но и славянской культуре. Нам, жителям севера, солнце по особенному ценно. Проводя шесть месяцев в темноте, я научился ценить естественный свет.

Идея солнцеворота, как мне кажется, достойна воплощения и в других новых работах иного формата и техники.


Solstice

The Solstice is one of the works in the Solar series, and in this work I am trying to express my attitude to the cyclical nature of our existence. Change of the seasons of the year, night and day, the rotation of the earth around the sun, the sun inside the galaxy, galaxy inside the universe. Rotation is a natural state of our creation. In this particular picture I have tried to convey the movement of solar wind, which starts from our star and rolls in spiral following the gravitation of the masses.

In spite of its seeming simplicity the picture also bears a number of hidden meanings. The use of red paper and golden ornaments – not only the tribute to traditional solar symbols, but also to slavic culture. We, thenorthern people, see a special value in the sun. Spending six months of a year in the darkness, I learned to value natural light.

The idea of the Solstice, I believe, is worthy to be expressed in other new works of a different format and technics.
